Christmas Invites

This was the invite I sent to my family for Christmas this year.  My wondeful friend Ange showed me this gorgeous 'Envelope Box' which I adapted.

It is a Stampin' Up envelope (I used Whisper White) and sealed it, then cut 1/4 off one end.  That became the 'top' of the box, and the larger part is the the 'bottom'.  Then you stamp whatever images you like on top and bottom, I have used 'Circle Circus' and 'Spotlight on Christmas' with Real Red Ink & Ribbon.  When you are finished stamping just put the bottom through your crimper (which makes it a bit smaller so it just slides into the lid) and you are done!! 

This is such a quick and easy project, great for kids invitations or just a special card.  I typed up the invitation on the computer, printed it on Whisper White Card and mounted it on Real Red card and slipped it into the box.  Happy Stamping and please email me your creations, I'd love to have a look!!!

 

Paperiffic

I know this was a couple of weeks ago now, but this is my layout for the Paperiffic Craft Show at the Melbourne Show Grounds.  These were different cards created with predominantly the 'Season of Joy' Stamp set.  This is such a lovely set, definately a 'must have' for Christmas addicts!!!

Season of Joy

Hello everyone!!  I'm so sorry my internet has been out of action so I haven't been able to put any posts on my site.  There is so much going on at the moment.  I have just done the Paperiffic Craft Fair in Melbourne at the showgrounds this weekend.  It was fantastic!!  It was so wonderful to see so many enthusiastic card makers and scrapbookers. 

I demonstrated a couple of interesting techniques there using markers directly onto your stamps, then applying Crystal Effects over the top.  I also did a little 'make and take' bookmark using the jumbo roller with the Versamark stamp pad on glossy paper then loaded a Brayer with ink and rolled that back and forth until you were happy with the ink coverage on your paper.  This is such an effective, quick and easy technique to try at home.

These two cards are a couple of pretties from my display board for the fair.  A quick gift tag with the corners rounded and stamped using markers directly onto the stamp then feed the paper through the crimper.  Too cute and 2 seconds to make.  The second card was using the Christmas tree in the Season of Joy stamp set.  Stamp in Old Olive, Baja Breeze and Real Red.  I have then stamped another tree on a scrap of paper in Real Red again, use the 'Stamp-a-ma-jig' and stamp Versamark ink over the top then sprinkle with 'Dazzling Diamonds'.  Cut out the tree and position over the other Real Red tree with Stampin' Dimensionals for a gorgeous 3D effect.

The paper on the top of the card is 'Ski Slope DSP' from the Spring Mini Catalogue with the scallop border punch.  This Designer Series Paper is absolutely gorgeous and make sure you check the Spring Mini catalogue out (top right of the screen) as it finishes on 30th of November so please email me if you would like to order anything, you can order by Credit Card or Direct Deposit into my account.

Magical Monday!!

  

Hi everyone, if you arn't already thinking about Christmas, I'm sure you soon will be!!!  The shops are starting to fill up with Christmas decorations, cards and all sort of goodies!!  So I thought I'd get in the Christmas spirit today with some really quick and simple Chrissy cards.  

These are both made with a Cuttlebug embossing pouch.  The one on the left is made with plain whisper white paper, embossed then I used one of the sponge daubers with Rose Red ink really lightly over the top.  You can't really see but I touched a few areas with the 2-way glue pen then sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds.  Finished it off with a piece of Kiwi Kiss Satin ribbon, oval scallop punched in Rose Red card, saying out of 'Best Yet' hostess stamp set stamped in Rose Red, then a large star punched out of Raspberry Tart DSP.  This was all put onto Kiwi Kiss Card.

The second card was embossed on textured wisper white card and finished with a gorgeous Square Rhinestone Brad, round scallop in Real Red card, then Merry Christmas stamped in Real Red with 'Punches Three' hostess set and punched with square scallop with a round clear Rhinestone.  Mounted on 5/8" Real Red grosgrain ribbon.  These were both so simple and easy, yet giving a lovely finished card.  

I went to the Melbourne Regional Stampin' Up seminar on the weekend at Crowne and it was fantastic!  I was absolutely blown away with the truely talented people within this company and was ever impressed with the quality and variety of the Stampin' Up products....but I will have to tell you more in my next post, and I have some gorgeous photos too...  Stay tuned, happy creating!  Sam
