Farewell to the Summer Mini..........

This simple little card is made with the "Butterfly Prints" set from the old Summer Mini - unfortunately no longer available.  However, you could easily replace the stamps with the "Flight of the Butterfly" set in the 2009/2010 Idea Book.  The great news is that the Butterfly Punch from the Summer Mini has been extended and is still available for $30.95.

Anyway, getting back to this pretty little card.  I have used Basic Grey, Old Olive, Whisper White & Lovely Lilac Cardstock with Elegant Eggplant 1/4" Grossgrain Ribbon & Ink.  The saying is stamped in Old Olive.  This is such a quick and easy card and you could use any colour combination!!

Adorable!!

How CUTE is this new Autumn/Winter Mini???????  I just love this "Fox & Friends" Stamp set.  Here I have combined it with the branch from "Cheep Talk" and the saying from "Warm Words".  I have used Whisper White, More Mustard, Choc Chip & Old Olive.  I have also used the "Top Note" Die Cut, exclusive to Stampin' Up!  It is soooo cute.  I have finished the gorgeous owl off with two of the Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads.   

I also believe in a matching envelope!!  It is always nice to receive something special in the mail and be excited before you even open it, so make the envelope pretty too.  The Stampin Up Envelopes are just perfect as they always give a lovely finish!!

You can never have too much Storage!!!!

I just had to share my latest creation!!  My wonderful husband cut me a piece of MDF which I covered with some pretty fabric from Ikea then used some towel rails which fit the punches perfectly!!!  My ribbon is just hanging on a piece of ribbon, too easy!!  Now I can see all my punches at a glance.

Sue Madex kindly offered her home for us to try all the new goodies in the Autumn/Winter Mini.  We had a wonderful evening, thanks Sue.  Sue had such a wonderful set-up, and it was lovely to catch up with some old faces and meet some new ones. 

Autumn-Winter Mini is here!!

This has got to be the best Mini yet since I joined this wonderful company nearly 12 months ago!!  The most exciting thing in this new catalogue is the arrival of the "Big Shot" die-cutting machine and all the fantastic dies and embossing folders to go with it.

As soon as I saw this card in the catalogue I had to have a go.  This is the most simple card that takes all of 2 minutes to make.  I used Kiwi Kiss & Whisper White Card with Regal Rose 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.  I embossed the front of the Kiwi Kiss card with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder, then embossed a piece of Whisper White with the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder, tied a ribbon and you're done!!

All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth!

This scrapbooking page is of my gorgeous little boy, as soon as his front teeth fell out I knew I had to do a scrap page!!  It is amazing how good photos look when you blow them up!  This page was so simple to create, although it does use a few different techniques.  The baubles are circles cut from 'Ski Slope' DSP from the Spring Mini (which is unfortunately unavailable) with 1/4" Choc Chip Ribbon.

The words are printed on Old Olive card on the computer, 'teeth' is stamped on Gloss White Card with 'Big Deal Alphabet' in Old Olive.  The tag out the side of the photo is hand written on a 'Curly Label' Punch.

The final piece is the star strip down the right side which was created useing Gloss White Card, rolling it with 'Classic Stars' Jumbo Roller in Versamark.  Then load your 'Brayer' with Baja Breeze ink and roll backwards and forwards from end to end until you're happy with the coverage.  This technique is a fantastic one to use to create your own patterned paper!!!! 

And I almost forgot the final piece, was 'Christmas' Stamped with 'Many Merry Messages' and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds.
